All ‪#‎iPhone‬ and ‪#‎Mac‬ users; your device has a major security issue! Be wary of downloading any new apps from unknown developers!

"The scariest thing about this news is how the research team compromised their test devices. The team was able to upload malware filled apps that exploited the security flaws to both the iOS App Store and Mac App Store. The apps were approved even after they went through Apple’s screening process."

More bad news for Downloaders! Especially if you're downloading the sitcom 'Friends'

"Over the past few weeks, Warner Bros has been going after pirates using various torrent websites to illegally download the sitcom Friends.
The movie studio has been sending settlement demands to those in question, which requests they pay a $20 fee for illegally downloading the show."

"In an online posting, picked up by Sydney-based infosec writer Cyber War News, a hacker going by the name Mufasa claimed to have a cache of "valuable data," including customer details and unencrypted plaintext passwords.
A statement from iiNet indicates that the compromised information could also include addresses and telephone numbers. The hacker is now offering to "sell or trade" this data."

It's time to start forming some good patching habits. Keep your browser and internet-connected devices up to date with the latest versions, but make sure to do this on a trusted home or work network -- not on public Wi-Fi.
There have been instances of travelers being caught off guard when connecting to public or hotel Wi-Fi networks when their device prompts them to update a software package. If accepted by the user, malware was installed on the machine. "

The last version of Windows now has an official release date! And it's this July!

"Windows 10 will come with new features such as Cortana, Microsoft Edge – Windows newest browser, Xbox Live and the integrated Xbox app, and a slew of other new and updated multimedia apps. The software will even debut with the Office 2016 full featured desktop suite where “users will be able to experience new universal Windows applications for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, all available separately”."
