Since Windows 7, we have had
access to this great little accessory.
If you are not already using it – read
on to see if it might help you.
Instead of 20 different post-it notes
stuck around the outside of your
monitor, you can use Sticky Notes to
have them appear on your computer
desktop. Less chance of one of them
falling off and not getting done.

Your Netflix account is also a target.

"The black market for stolen account details was also gaining traction, Mr Savvides said, with everything from Netflix to stolen credit card details earning criminals cash.

Mr Savvides said the introduction of a cash price for accounts was one of the reasons online threats were becoming so sophisticated, with call centre-like setups, ransomware help lines for hackers, and a more nine-to-five style of operation.

Be very careful and make sure you have a strong #iCloud password! "First and foremost, make sure that your iCloud account has a very secure password. Longer is better. As long as your password is long, and is not a quote from a book, movie, song or other media, and it’s not a common expression, and it’s not something that could be guessed with a little cyberstalking, it does not need to be horribly complex.

A password like “horse airplane rutabaga flashlight” is far more secure than a complex but shorter password like “h@c|<me.”

Second, DO NOT use the same password on any other site!

Ideally, every online account should have a different password, and you should be using a password manager (like 1Password or LastPass) to keep track of all of them. This prevents situations where a server gets compromised and leaks your password, and then the hacker is able to use that password to access all your other accounts."

Google is investigating whether the encryption used for emails as part of its End-To-End project can be applied to other products. Snapchat, the photo- and video-sharing service, is also at work on a more secure messaging system, The Guardian added.

Encryption has been a hot-button topic lately because of Apple's battle with the US Department of Justice. The DOJ has been trying to force the company to unlock an iPhone 5C used by one of the shooters who killed 14 people in the San Bernardino, California, massacre in December. But the renewed encryption efforts by Facebook and the other tech companies started before Apple's fight with the DOJ, The Guardian said.

The announcement was grim news for roughly 3,000 staff working in Dick Smith's 363 stores across Australia and New Zealand, who were told their stores would be shuttered by late April.

As part of the closure process, Ferrier Hodgson announced a fire sale to clear excess stock, fixtures and essentially anything that wasn't bolted down, all in order to raise money for creditors.

The modified copy of Transmission includes a file named General.rtf, which is actually an executable file rather than the rich-text document it pretends to be. When the app is launched, this file is copied to a file named kernel_service in the user Library folder (which is hidden by default on recent versions of OS X)."

Initially this means better live video and match updates in sporting stadiums and other arenas, but with the rollout of the related Media Optimised Network (MON) you could see easier access to software updates and even something Telstra is calling "content prepositioning": Pre-loading content on your phone so it's already there if you decide to access it.

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">High-quality video calling over LTE (ViLTE) is also on the cards, joining the already-launched Voice over LTE (VoLTE) for compatible devices. Voice over WiFi is coming in the first half of 2016, with customers using VoLTE soon able to have voice calls swap seamlessly from mobile data to home fixed broadband."

Download every season of The Simpsons in under half an hour! "The introduction of ultra-HD video quality and the rise of online streaming is one major trend that will benefit from the introduction of a new generation of wireless infrastructure.
With 5G predicted to offer speeds as high as 10 gigabits per second, the service will be up to 100 times faster than the current 4G network and also faster than pre-existing broadband.

While the current 4G offering of speeds more than 15 megabits per second is fast enough to stream songs off Apple Music, stream video content from Netflix or browse the internet, the introduction of 5G will offer a whole new plethora of opportunities."

"If tracking the people you love sounds shady, or you're worried about spying, don't worry. These Android and iPhone apps are safe and I've used all the ones I recommend below. Contacts have to agree to be tracked, and the apps come with very clear instructions for use.

As you read through each selection, bear in mind that this is not an exact science and that GPS signals determine how precisely locations can be calculated. What's more, none of these will work with the phone turned off."

Then, when you turn your computer back on, Windows will use these saved files to boot up quicker -- basically, booting from hibernate instead of from scratch.

For obvious reasons, fast startup only works if you have hibernate enabled (learn how to enable/disable hibernate here). Also, fast startup only affects shutdowns, not restarts."

For those of you who are already enjoying the benefits of Android 6.0, Greenify goes a step further with experimental features that piggyback on top of the Doze functionality. Shallow Hibernation (for power users) suspends background functions without actually stopping the tasks."
